There is no such monster that drops blue shorts (yet). I got one pair, but I get it from GM for testing purpose.

bats? thats new to me, as i said: i got my shorts with lamp snakes and i though just them drop it

Well, 120 keys are 117 more than ye need
. Myself, I think I had about 600 buglegs or something similar before I sold it away.

A little off topic.....but what do you do with 3 keys? I opened the chest for me to get the sword with one (with help of generous guides of course). I do faintly remember reading somewhere about three keys.....but have no idea what or where.
Still don't know whether blue shorts are attainable.

I pretty sure you can get blue shorts from killing lamp snakes (although they haven't dropped a pair me yet
)
You can get keys form killing spiders (which I'm too weak to do, thus can't prove that) then when you have three you can open the chest and get the short sword.
Hope that helps in some way

I appreciate it Leash, but see my edit above. I was able to open sword chest with one key? Is that right?? I wonder if the blue shorts are 1/1000 odds, or a tally of kills thing. LIke you get shorts after slaughtering 1000 lamp snakes.

I'm pretty sure 3 keys are needed yes and the odds of getting the blue jeans are way small

It could be I am confused because I was in a state of awe over the skills and talents of my two guides getting to the chest at such a young age. But we got to the treasure room, I tried opening the chest (not knowing about keys), it told me to go to hell. THen, one of the guys said, "Madcap over here!!" and there was a key on the ground. I picked it up and went back to the chest......viola!
It's not possible to be given keys without using the trade window is it?
