				I really like the shape of the helm just make is a dark gray or use the shading Qoal put on the infantry helm as a reference.  Then it would look nice.

				I think you could use a 
tutorial about shading.
Don't be afraid to use very bright (almost pure white) highlights when shading dark objects. It gives the object a shiny, metallic look.

i like what ya did to it i kept trying to change it but its hard to work with now i have something better to work off of thx im not giving up on this helm yet!

Unfortunately not. Shading is incorrect. We got different light source (south-west).

				Well, he does already have a preliminary clue about what he is doing. It's just a matter of redoing it over and over again with more and more techniques to learn with each repetition.
Eventually he won't make mistakes and just does stuff which goes directly into the game without much commentary.
