I can do another one that is closed and rolled up with a recolourable ribbon, if you want.

Hi again,
Adamaix: Recolourable would be great (by adding a ribbon). The current scroll is too static/iconic; try giving it some more texture and make it look older and less mass-produced.
Jumpy/Clay: Much better on the clay. However, the thin, dark lines you used to have have to separate the three sections of your image have been replaced by darkish areas; this makes it look as if they are dents. Either eliminate these three darkish areas entirely and work ONLY with shadows, or use thin, dark lines as before. Also, you'll need an outline.
Jumpy/Amulet: The metal chain for this amulet is quite off for something wooden/leavish/natural. Some kind of natural-looking string would be better (perhaps with a knot in the back). The pink part lacks a distinctive shape.

Regarding the scroll icon: Some scroll icons were posted a few years ago in this thread:

Adamaix,
Very good shape! (And don't worry about the ribbon if you can't include it; we can just have different writing on the scrolls instead). But remember that our light comes from the top-left.

Jumpy,
the revised amulet isn't wrong per se, but it doesn't look very exciting-- two big leaves on a green string (too green, too). What I am looking for would be more organic/natural-looking, and with a more natural texture.
As for the clay: together with eliminating the boundary lines, you seem to have eliminated some of the shading, making it look less plastic/3d.

according to the approved lighting standard, light source comes south-west

do you mean something like this?
Or perhaps a recolourable universal magic symbol.

Adamaix,
Your shape is still excellent, and your choice of texture works well for me.
As for lighting: `south-west up' I believe is what it says at least for monsterset development, i.e., `over the left shoulder of the spectator'. You are using south-west down as the light source.
Also, the visible part of the scroll is significantly brighter than the `rolled up' parts. With enough contrast, the rolled-up parts look almost black, losing the detail of the scroll in there; you might want to make them a little lighter (even if that is not entirely realistic).
Finally, don't hesitate to use dark colours (instead of black) in the outline (and alpha'd pixels, with some care) if that improves the overall appearance, but that would probably be the last step.
As for the writing/symbol: the uses of these scrolls will vary considerably, so please start with a blank one. Otherwise your idea is exactly what I had in mind: the particular scroll you have up there would work fine for one of the intended uses. Other images would be a mouth, a serpent, and a pure white (dyeable) rose.
