Thanks Bertram! Good news! This sounds good, if the new world ready, I would like to join with a new character, but I really hope, that the possibility for a player to transfer his character(s) in the new world will be considered and not forgotten.

The servers are too different for characters to be transfered. One thing that has been suggested is that older players could get a rare when they start.

Image Oh no, Jaxad, do you have sometimes some good news!?Image

No rare thing, that you can give me, is equal worth the time and work I spend for my character(s)...

Image Please find a soultion! It couldnt be so complicated, somewhere my character informations about level, experience, money and items must be saved...or? Image

The new server is too different. Different base stats, a new skill system, new level system, etc. Items will also be different (more structured).

I hate when people confuse players with "is too different".

It is a different game, end of story.

We will keep this current game alive as long as people still play it.

How about importing at least player names?

This is what I see: unscrupulous individuals are bound to snap up popular, recognized names that have been used by long term, high level players.

I mean, in the new game I still want to be Inkweaver, and I'm sure most other's want to keep their names and not have them stolen by other people. Is it at least possible to import player names? That shouldn't be too hard. Just create a new level zero player with no items. You wouldn't have to import skills, levels, or anything, just a name and sex.

Yes. Transferring names is likely. Note that for tmwserv, each account can have chars from both genders and isn't (I don't think) limited to one login at a time (ie, you won't need a separate account for mules and such).

Okay that is good. I was foreseeing chaos with some sneaky people grabbing the names of GM's and other popular, well known people. I'm glad to know that we will be able to keep the same name. ;)

If that is the case I definitely want a scarab armlet, since I have one on this server, and because it is unobtainable and so useful for magic.

We were thinking like a hat that say "eA", something that won't affect gameplay. Note that magic is different too.

Why all the whining? eAthena will still be up so you could stay here forever if you wanted.. but you would be missing out.

I don't think the devs should even be having to think about compensating something for the eA players, even something as simple as a hat. That's just ridiculous, they should be focused somewhere else at all times so they can get things done much quicker.

For the people whining, did any of you figure out by now (before this thread of course) that this is just a "test" server? Yes I know a community has been built, and valuable time has been spent (cough, testing, cough) on this game, but that should all pay off seeing a new, and better game.

This silly wipe panic has been going on for so long I actually want a wipe t-shirt as a recognition for pre-alpha testing support.

That would be the best! Give all new TMWserv char (for the first 3 days only, or something) a shirt that says "I survived having my char wiped from eA!"

Just a joke, I know it wouldn't fit on the graphic, but still a funny idea :D

I foresaw the same thing, Inkweaver.
And remember, guys - in the long run, it's just a game! Have fun playing and it's all that counts.
