I have interacted with Alel a couple times now and I have decided that his behaviors are consistent and well mannered. So instead of not voting I have decided to vote yes for Alel. It was also disappointing about how many no's this person has acquired. Its hard to tell what people think these days but its all opinion based and I am sure this person would not mind if the community would reconsider.
Edit: I also wanted to include the only points that you guys have decided that would make him a bad gm. A) he likes to goof around some times. B) He is Italian.
When it comes down to A) you should really look at responsibility of this person not that they don't take everything serious. What if he is just uncomfortable with some situations? Dose he do something when he says he will? Dose he play consistently?
when it comes down to B) I rather not comment on this one, rather there is not a valid point to it.

I don't see any generalizations there. There is an appeal to the authority of the many, agreed, but no generalizations, so he couldn't have made a hasty one.
