I didn't liked 2d mmorpg's, (3d are too good for my poor old PC) always when I tried, that was full of people who will do everything to cheat you for some money etc., and /or not interested in communicating with someone other than school friends playing the same game.
When I installed Ubuntu, I wanted to test all games in add/remove programs that looked interesting. And so I tested TMW. I played a little and leaved. But when I went sick, sitting at home and had nothing to do, I logged on- and I think I will stay for a while.
Why? Because I like atmosphere here. People are mostly friendly, they help and this encourages to help others, when you are able to. Maybe two times someone tried to cheat me (and it were noobs higher just a few levels), but I was helped few times more. Maybe it's caused by open source ;)

Heard about The Mana World from talk in the Ubuntu community. Your game is pretty popular with us, feel proud :).

I was searching for an awesome game to play with, though I wasn't interested in MMO's. I just found TMW while peeking into Synaptic, VIOLA! I'm in! :D
