That tile is most definitely usable.
Concerning trees: You now have a tree and 2 opinions. So why not fork the process..? Both of you should derive the tree further from the point it is now and then we'd have 2 similar trees. The landscape just looks better with variety.

And now for something completely different.
I hope that this bridge redesign will wosh away all the savety concerns Rotonen had with the last version:

Try the bridge games there.
Pontifex is the oldest one so you should start with that free demo since it is kinda limited to the basics. This should give you a conception of bridge building.

Additionally if you're not into that, use this as a referrence and avoid the round bottom shape.

i already know bridge builder. cronic logic is one of my favorite independent game studios. did you play gish or triptych? both very innovative attempts on the jump'n'run and tetris-like puzzle genre.
i don't understand what you all have got against my vertical pillar. i think it looks good.
about a bridge made of round shapes: it would sure look good, but it would require a lot of tiles and would be very unflexible in size.

Really nice. I think the trunk should be a bit wider... and lighter in colour. Oh and ofcourse, again, it needs a shadow.
But yea, I really like the shading on this one. I wonder how it looks with grass on the background though.

looks like you can see too many leaves or something of that sort... maybe have them blend together a little more or something
but it all depends on the style your going for

Wooooo,
I REALLY have to agree with Bjorn that the tiles are way too saturated
(at least for my monitor is use now

)
I just switched monitor, and on my old CRT monitor it looked
very nice and the color was absolutely ok. No thoughts about that.
But now I switched to my LCD screen (a good one) and it shines so
bright I can't look directly at it
But hey, even themanaworld.org seems very saturated to me

(compared to the CRT monitor)

the trunk has exactly the size of the trunks used for the bridge pilars and the sign. those trunks must come from somewhere. sometimes the aesthetic has to bow before the logic
I wonder how it looks with grass on the background though.
i made a little showcase for you. this time without any confusing tiles, so you hopefully stay on topic

thats common when you switch from crt to lcd displays. you will get used to it.

I have to agree again with Modanung about the size of the trunk, sorry, just a bit wider and noone won't notice it, and we won't tell it around.

You should know how long ElvenProgrammer kept bugging me to increase the saturation... I am on a good TFT as well and it seems very saturated indeed, heh. Ah well but I'm fine with the site as it is now.
I still think the tiles need a saturation correction though. For example I think the tree trunks are not just too dark, but mostly much too brown. Just look at the trees outside and you should see tree trunks are much more "gray".
