Found in Ubuntu repositories trough Add/Remove
Usually when I see an MMO, I spit at it, and do not even look at it, as ALL(almost) MMO's are dull and rely on grinding, but when I found Mana World, and saw, that it is Open Source I decided to help you in developing it a bit.
PS.: Also the reason I installed it was the fact, that graphically it reminds me of Brave Soul, game I loved for gameplay (not the Hentai part), and played it ignoring the fact, that it was 18+ game, and I was a teen.

I got it from portableapps.com. And for some reason, the portableapps.com version's sound works but not the official version, hmm.

Browsing through the application>games list in Ubuntu here. Definitely one of the better finds in that list!

To be honest I was trying to find some freeware portable applications and I noticed this one and downloaded it on a whim, now I'm hooked and its distracting me from my various projects.

First post.
If "Here" = The Mana World RPG, then: I was looking for an MMO for Linux.
I'm 51, and bored of not having a favorite PC game.
Used to play umoria which is not supported in my distro of choice (2 distros, actually). Since I'm a dork in Linux, I dare not roll my own package (cringe).
Pokemon, as good as it is, isn't quite cutting it lately. I DO have a GameBoy Micro, though.
Then, I tried "Gaia Online" (players proclaimed as 13 year olds girls wanting to bork with me in the houses... yuck).
Next is TMW, very good. Lots of compliments to say about that. In another post.
If "Here" = The Mana World Forums, then: I googled for "The Mana World", clicked the home page result, then clicked the forum link on the home page.

Me too. After seeing "The Mana World new version" in PortableApps.com's RSS I finally decided to give it a try.

Through primates and evolution apparently. After a series of searches for a summertime time killer portableapps and ubuntu convinced me I could play it anywhere (linux or windows) then I noticed "open source" =D

Found the game in the Ubuntu repositories, read the description and noticed it was open source, so I came here and grabbed the source files. Sure am glad I came to the site too, with registration being closed in-game and all that.
