Okay, the server is working and you can access it from: theotherworlds.dyndns.org
It will be online so long as I am online and since I'm going to New Zealand tomorrow it wont be on for a month So far no new content is added because I want to ensure that I release it all at once.
As soon as I get back from New Zealand I'll connect it to my update host and start releasing content.

what offer your server? on what its different from tmw?

Nothing yet, as I said I'll release new content, I already have new items, new monsters and new quests ready to go. So far it is just open to chill on, currently I'm giving free items etc to players who come on it.
I'm gonna prettymuch throw some small events right now.
(Spawn party, pvp etc)

So its just a copied fork from tmw? =/ Giving free things will not give you new player, they want to get a gameplay, and you miss that when you give free stuff... Just what i think, after free for you to do what you want ^^ but many serer as your exist already and... when you connect you see 0 player online... without gameplay the game is simply borndead

After, if your objectif is to creat a copy of tmw and what i said you wasn't a problem, then i hope you merry luck in your project

I understand but as I said I am going overseas tomorrow and I don't feel like making any new updates right now. I'm adding a few quests today that's it really.

Also sorry to those who could not reconnect after the restart, there was a bug in one of the new quests and now only two of the new quests are in the server.
The two new daily quests can be found on the Doctor npc and Sabine.
They are fairly simple and I am working on something bigger right now.

since when has this been here nahem? and i finally found a way to contact you i can give some good ideas for the server but i must be in the server to say then lol

Sorry to revive this topic but there is a new update deadlined for next Sunday, is there anyone would like to help as I have a lot of work to do alone XD
If anyone wants to contribute anything that is welcome.
If you want to help with the current update contact me in a pm or ingame.
Also the server has been having crashes overnight, sorry to anyone who tried to get on then.

can we transfer our levels from other servers onto this one? i've been on it already, and it seems like everything's wotking out all right. Can't wait for the new updates tho! unfortunately i have no experience in that area so i cant really help you out with that

Sorry to revive the dead topic of my server but I'm starting to make progress.
Yes, for now a level transfer is possible but I'm going to take it out once I'm done messing with the official server's content.

Anyway, the server is making progress and I'm testing some new things out.
Currently though I'm in need of help, so if anyone would like to help out please post anything

I've already got a few people who have helped me by allowing me to use their work.

I'm not really gonna be very picky with content so anything will be great.
TOW is still growing and we have over 50 accounts now. (I admit some are mules but most are players.)

Anyone who wants to help the server in any way feel free.

For those wondering how this server is going to differ I can't say that yet really.
I can list some changes we've planned and have worked on though:

* 'Celebrity' Characters (Basically characters who play some 'part' in TOW, right now we only have Jerry Flicker ('Journalist') who you can meet in town sometimes. I may get around to making them automated (yes I mean bots) but right now I control them. Any requests to create a celebrity account are welcome and I will probably make it for you. All celebrity accounts have a specific item they give out. (Jerry gives out his autograph) Normally an item to do with what they do.)

* Monthly quester (An npc who has a quest each month to give out a different item. They are sort of like rares that return every year, good for keeping specific rare prices low although event quests still run and will give rares that the Monthly quester doesn't have)

* Traders (NPCs who trade items, basically they have an inventory and you can trade them items for what they have, and fill their slots with different items. Right now the Junk Trader is situated North of Hurnscald and will give you an item from a certain slot. (He asks you what slot you'd like the item from) He only accepts server names for item.)
