i hate working on the player sprite....but it needs to be done if i want to make swords and such ...
here is a re-working of the side 1-hand swing...this it just a demo of how the swinging looks...legs will need some work and it need detailing ...but (imo)it looks better then it did

on the back-facing swing, the middle frame seems kind of wide, like he's swinging in a wide curve.

We are not making a feature film here, we are trying to minimize the number of frames to sanitize equipment workloads. Every single frame you can save with cheating and fooling the eye is a good frame here. Motion trailing and strategical pausing (ease-in, not convinced of the absolute necessity of ease-out) for the animations go a long way for this goal.

i agree..and im trying to use as many of the existing body shape as i can to cut down on new frames of old stuff. ill use the same first frame as the daggers for the first in the swing...then the 3 frames of the one handed swing(that make it the same #of frames for both attacks

it would be grate if a other artiest felt like helping or lending there eyes..you may see what i dont....

Very nice Skipy. I really like the one handed sword animation. Looks great.
The 2h one looks fluid enough. Once you clean it up it should be very nice.

I assume that all the sprite sheets for equipment will need addons to make them work with the new animations.
The quicker we get a full 1.5 playerset the sooner we can start making any additional frames for equipment.
I'm not going to be pushing on the gear sets till after this project is done and I know all the frames needed.

i have the male-2h looking better (still needs some clean up)...the add on parts that are need for everything should not be as bad as i thinking... i would hold off on any think big ....but i would not say "dont do any equipment " ..so maybe we will have to add 30 or 40 frames to any armor being worked on ,so what...we will have to do that for everything else    ..so work on what ever you like (imo) ...
if anyone wants to make this go faster the magic casting frames still need fixing..(or just cut from sheet all together)..
for now im just trying to get 1 and 2 hand swings for the male/female player..

here is look at all the one hand swing ...there seems to be a odd look to the side frames not matching the front-to frames as well as i would have hoped for...but i think i can fix it ....but i have to go with the way the side is and mach it to the front-to or the other way around...im open to subjections on which one to work form....(or maybe im just knit-picking)
