Hi Wombat,

In my humble opinion, both, if possible.

Thanks a lot.

The male sprite head is shaped differently for attacking vs. walking (at the chin). Looking at the change in shape, it isn't significant and doesn't seem to add or subtract from the animation. However, it would be one more head needed for the sprite head sets I'm going to complete soon. The full body sets are complete and can be used.

I'll complete the head like the helmets, to avoid confusion. Heads will be done in this order, without objection: front, left, back, right, wink front, wink left, wink right and dead. Adding the front attack it would be: standing front, attacking front, left, back, right, wink front, wink left, wink right and dead. Currently there is no female difference. I'd prefer to change the male sprite to eliminate this insignificant difference.

Hi Wombat,

This is in my opinion something really missing in game, like skin tones.

As I posted here:
http://forums.themanaworld.org/viewtopi ... 138#p70138
I wondered if it would be even better to separate the eyes from the head.
Let's see what will happen, but anyway this could end up in a nice extension to game play (In TMWserv, at least.).

Best Regards.

I think just having a separate head is enough, Different skin tones should be looked into too, IMO.

Hi Jaxad,

Getting a little off-topic, but just to precise, the skin tone has already received some attention:
http://forums.themanaworld.org/viewtopi ... 12&start=0

The main complain is that dying the playerset can easily give unnatural colors, but a few admitted
it would be possible with fine tuning, IIRC.
As for my self, it would great if someone managed to find that 'fine tuning' for white, and black people, at least.
A plus would then to add: tanned, very pale, yellowish, and a redish skin.
Having other less natural colors could also be a nice feature and could make the player look really unique.

Regards.

BBB, I'm not nitpicking and that wink has always been a part of the base set. For those pixel artists that are against mirroring, feel free to fix.

Female player head and evil female player head added. Without objection this is complete.

The following changes to the player sets are [FND]: female player set has wink added, male player set has a universal front head (difference in chin removed). Evil eye player sets for male and female complete. male player head, evil male player head, female player head, evil female player head.

Further head additions will be posted on this topic thread, so [WIP] on topic will remain to avoid multiple head change topics.

Hi,

Thanks a lot Wombat,

Could some other have a look at this tell us.

I'd really like to upgrade the player base, and separate the head sprite, as the work is being done.

Regards.
