You don't have to put a copyright symbol on anything to claim a copyright. You automatically have a copyright on every creative work you produce.

Um, Meway? Your old avatar uses GPL images compiled in a .gif, and not only that, but the hat on DarkLord* was made partly by Dark Lord.

I never claimed it as my own. Its a worthless art in my trash ben none the less.

Who are you trying to fool here? Do you think we are blind? It looks exactly like the dev cap, just with other colors and the letters "DEV" replaced by "DL".

When you base something on work by someone else you are not creating it "entirely by yourself". You are creating a derivate work.
