It takes time to implement new content. Developers have limited time. DW: why don't you help do it?

I did, you set me on a task that was already 4 days past due and really was a dead end. The last comment from the "development team" was on may 29. I have not been invited into anything newer then that. Just for the ammo, I will start a new project with the same group and see what happens.
When you find yourself stuck, you can do two things, sit there or try to get your self out. We are stuck, no one wants to get us out, so the only way to get everyone moving in the right direction is to start yelling until everyone understands we are stuck.
In the next few days I will post a quest idea that is 100% completely doable, which current graphics. It is actually my sisters idea, and is pretty cool.

That's what needs to be done from the script idea to making it playable:
1. Set up a local tmwAthena wit the newest data from GIT.
2. Write the script in the eA scripting language
3. Test it locally until it seems to be bug-free
4. Create a git patch
5. Submit the git patch to someone with push access to the server data repository.
6. The developer has to review and test the patch on his/her own local server. The quest might be rejected because it is buggy, imbalanced, collides with long-term goals or just sucks for one reason or another.
7. Then it can be pushed to the serverdata repository
8. Then the production server has to be updated

Crush, sweety, why would I do all that knowing that there is a 99.999999999999999% chance you will reject it?
How about this. I will waste my time writing out the quest. I will then hand it over to the developers and see what they think. That way I do not waste my time doing 6 steps that I know are a waste of time.
For a bunch of game makers it is very clear you never paper and pen roleplayed.

The chance of
me rejecting anything is quite small because I am not involved in TMW content development anymore.

The issue comes when you define "what is consider automation?" By some standers, 4144's client could be considered to have automation features like his crazy moves feature.
I am very opposed to AFK-Botting... but I am even more so opposed to censorship.
I my opinion fighting and censoring people who make botting clients is bad... and questionably not allowed by the GPL according to section 5. It is their RIGHT to modify and redistribute their work, under the terms of the GPL.
Further more, attacking the distributing of botting clients doesn't actually make the problem go away, but more of a plugging a hole in a dam with your finger solution.
The being said, I don't think we should encourage people to write clients that make it easy to break the server's rules.
So I say ignore them.
BTW can we stay on the topic of botting clients and people who make them instead of attacking the TMW content team?
Use another thread if you wish to do that.

Crush really? You think that we are some 8 year olds? You honestly think that we are going to go chase some bar you set. So you can snatch it away from us at the last minute saying, "oh not good enough, sorry try again"? Is that honestly where you guys really stand?
Wow.
That is just a form of bulling. Really it is. The best way to test if something is a bad idea is to place it against other ideas and see how it works out.
You are at a race track. DW comes up to you " I have an idea for better handling on your car"
Crush says "Great, so here is what you need to do."
1.) Get your own car.
2.) Build your own race track to run your own car.
3.) Make the changes to the your car as simple as possible.
4.) Find someone to air test/track test your car.
5.) Find one of us to see if your test is worth it to us.
6.) Then we will be bothered to steal your idea, if it has any value to us.
Really Crush, you would just waste your time. We are better off going to the arikel server, setting a request for the content and working with him to bring it to his server.
This is exactly what sis was talking about. If someone even attempts to add new content. The first round is to ignore them. The second round is it discredit them. And if that does not work make sure they hit the glass ceiling before they rise to high to stop.
Congratulations, you have just show not only is there a level of incompetence running deep through this game, but it is a orginazied incompetence.

The TMW content people can't just put anything online - there have to be quality standards.

I said this a million times I know but I will say it again. Users who tend to break the rules are going to break them regardless. If they are not using manabot or some other automated client they will most likely get banned for CAPS AFKin' or keyboard weights.
Hand someone the tools to break the rules and justify it by saying they were going to do it anyway?...
(let them grab a knife rather than give them a nuke)

L.E. And I didn't make all of my 90 million Gp by botting, a few hundred thousand I did fair and sqare
I know you are a civil engineer. Why on earth you needed to make 90 million gp
anyway.

Thread is straying....
We are not discussing what to do with people who USE bot clients... we are discussing what to do with people who CREATE bot clients.
....
Exactly! So, logically...,

Burn her! Burn!
