Hi guys. I know it's a bit late but i made an easter egg helmet. For simpler testing I based it on size of pumpkin helmet. To test it in game, edit update-ac86ea6..75ac8ab.zip and replace /graphics/sprites/head-pumpkinhelmet.png with this image:
In game it looks like this:
Note: I would post it into game content development section but then they would be bitchin' about how lame and low quality it is so I'm posting it here where nobody cares.

I actually really like this, it's simple, themed, and I love the cracked egg on the dead sprite.

Well, it's a nice enough start. But then:
1) It has flat shading - light on one side, dark on the other
2) The Back and Right frames are mirrored from the others, I assume - they have a different and incorrect lightsource
3) The broken shell pieces cover the player's head.
However, it
is IMO a good start. I'll probably start fixing it up a bit so it's done in time for Easter, and maybe the devs will find a use for it. Obviously you could do it yourself, but you mightn't even come online before it'd need to be done, and it might take you a while to get the hang of the shading.
If you'd rather I didn't work on it please tell me and I'll stop, but it'd still be mostly your work if it got in

.
EDIT: After opening the image in the Gimp, I noticed that the side frames are all smooth and anti-aliased... always draw each frame! Never use tricky little... well, tricks to save time

!
EDIT: Actually, that shading isn't flat. However it appears that way unless you zoom in to check: you can fix this by darkening the darker areas and lightening the light, but don't just increase the contrast because it won't look smooth enough.

Feel free to finish it, I'm not graphic designer.

What in TMW laid that egg?
Note: I would post it into game content development section but then they would be bitchin' about how lame and low quality it is so I'm posting it here where nobody cares.

It's called critique and part of the process of becoming a better artist (although it often digresses into bitching)

You'll probably have a hard time of finding someone will to finish to for you. you should probably finish it yourself It doesn't really need that much just better shading and texture (fix the light direction) and your done.

To "Len" - Have you actually read this thread before you post?

Indeed, but more often than not if the person working on something is not the same one who created the it. That work is often dropped once that person gets sick of it.
