YOU should know how much you want as YOU sell.

Sorry not interested anymore, as you can't even tell me how much money you want.

I already sold it to someone who made a reasonable offer. :)

When you want to buy something, you make a reasonable offer. If the selling party thinks the offer is acceptable, you get the item in exchange for the offered amount. If not, the seller negotiates a different offer. This is called haggling. It is how things have been bought and sold for as long as there has been a bartering system.

Anytime you want something, you have to do a reasonable amount of work to get it.

If you want to sell something, you usually put a price on it. The person wanting to buy will negotiate or haggle over the price.

If you want to buy something that you don't see offered in the market, it is reasonable to put an open bid, "buying 1 pearl 2,000 gp", and if a merchant who was not previously selling wants to sell, they may then haggle over the price.

In this case, a seller (you) wanted to sell. It is reasonable for the market to expect you to put a price on the item you have available.

Pontificate all you want, I'm the one with the item. :)

if you do an auction just say so ;) other then that it is like a shop. You don't walk into a shop and start haggling what you are willing to pay for the shampoo, do you?
and by the way it is a very lazy way to try and get more money then that thing is worth, to say offer.
