If disable fps limiter this mode for me double fps, from ~200 to ~400.
If set fps limiter, game will eat very low cpu. Other it show what exist many ways to improve game speed.

I think it's more for people who get 4fps in town and get 20fps with that kind of a hack to disable most of the GFX. With over 60fps (most likely the max your monitor can display) extra performance becomes entirely pointless. You're better off conserving your cpu/battery/ears by keeping your system cooler by doing less unnecessary stuff.
