Where in the world (Mana world!) do I get living wood? I can't seem to get it from Log Heads.

Dude if you talked to lumber jack for a forest bow quest then he didnt mean it with living wood.He only told a story something about woods coming alive.Anyway ill help you for that quest.After you talk to lumber jack go to get "raw logs" and then bring them to the bow maker guy in hurnscald.Bring him so much till he finds the perfect log
since i have started playing i never heard something about living woods.

That is correct...what you want are raw logs from log heads.....
