Funnily enough I just joined the forums to say goodbye...

I'm leaving server.themanaworld.org for probably a long time.

Some of you may know me in-game as loose.cjcannon - although I probably didn't sit in Hurns' town square long enough to become familiar with that many people, oh well .

The Mana World was my first experience of an MMORPG, and it was altogether awesome , but nothing lasts forever...

I've been playing it intermittently for almost a year now and got to level 65, but I think the tedium of grinding at 60+ far outweighs the benefits of levelling - I guess I've got MMORPG-fatigue.

The high-point of the game for me was without a doubt Candor battles, which are really intense and rewarding and fun when playing in a big group. The low-point was removing the land-strip and then being charged more GP to travel on the ferry, I really think this negates the joy of exploration and does not belong in an RPG!

Anyway to celebrate my leave, I have decided to do two small drop parties, to be announced in-game. Could someone please tell me how to ask a gm to announce these globally?

Thank you to everyone who helped me along the way, I'll definitely miss you all, and thanks to the devs+admins+gms for providing a fantastic open source MMORPG. Finally, thanks to all the players for making this game interesting, and synergistically increasing the gameplay value massively!!! I'll definitely miss this game...

Loose, sorry to hear you're leaving.....If you want a GM to announce for you, just talk to one of them (Katze, Tians, Alons, Narus). They are always VERY helpfull...

Just to let you know, the first drop party will be at 20:00 UTC (London) just south of Hurn's town square. I'll get a GM to global announce 15 and then 5 minutes beforehand.

I'll be in-game in Hurns' town square till 03:00 UTC (London) tonight, then after that it's bon voyage.

It was really fun playing, and I would've liked to have explored the new content more, but I can't keep playing the same game over and over, it's time to move on! Anyhow, I think level 66 is a good achievement for a non-serious MMORPG player (newly converted).

I've got some screenshots from the events I've held over the last two nights, I'll sort out the best ones and post 'em up later!

Lvl 66 is an excelent level for your type of player, I hope who you will found a good and maybe better mmorpg than tmw and who you will take some more fun time (its impossible... tmw is the best mmorpg ever u.u)

Like you said it's bad who you leave the game now, new content will come and new thing will happens soon
