I just got killed several times by other players in the new cave. I myself dislike this "Feature"

I wish to ask others what they think of this...like a poll.

Your opinions?

I think it is a good feature to have.
Those who like it can enjoy in that cave.

But on the other hand: I would like to have a manaworld where you can get nearly anything done without the must for going into pvp zones.

So maybe another cavemap deep in the caves without pvp enabled....

But i think this feature is an additional parameter to vary the mana world. So it brings more difference into the game.

I think it would be ok, IF there were opt out feature..If you want player agains't player, then opt in, BUT if you don't want to fight other players,then opt out,and you can't kill, or be killed by other players

Pvp in the cave is awsome simple as that.

not everyone is awesome enough to go there, though

I'm sorry, but an online game of this sort Without any pvp would be garbage. It was kind of crappy that only the arena had pvp, so the new cave is nice for that. Honestly, the only thing you need in that particular map is terranite ore, and then only at level 80. Plus, half the fun of pvp is being able to kill people, whether you like or dont like them. If you had your way and players could "opt out", it would ruin the fun. If anything, stealing Diablo 2's pvp system would be ideal... below lvl 10, noone can pvp you, and after, they have to basically inform you that they wanna kill you by clicking some icon. Even then, in Diablo 2 everywhere but town is pvp.... I'd be down for that, heh.

Also, you make it sound like some epidemic that ruins the fun of the game. Every time some sensitive player gets killed in pvp, it becomes this huge debate over whether something is fair or not. But you can't say it's no good just because you don't enjoy it. Before this map, it was "lightning is too powerful, why should lightning kill warriors so easy?"... Obviously because warriors have such high vitality nothing else will do the trick. That's why we have magic and phys defense spells. Truth is, there aren't pvp hunters in there most of the time, and the teleporter NPC brings you straight there - what is the big deal?

Anyways, not trying to be mean, just saying - even if they made some fairly useless map pvp, eventually someone would wanna use it for something, get killed, and make a topic complaining about it being unfair and ruining the game. (Also, sorry I killed you once lol, but I don't take it personally when I get killed -revenge kills aside xD - and you actually make yourself a more tempting pvp target when you show that it makes you upset.)

Lastly... elitist? really? It's one map, lol, the whole game didn't suddenly become a Darwinist experiment of kill or be killed. Summary: PVP zones can be frustrating, but you can either be upset about it and complain (which, by the way, didnt help several other people who chose this route), or lighten up, stock up on healing crap and get a mage to use magic protect on you, and go get some revenge!

I like it. Granted my party had the first kill there. And the second. And the third

If I had attacked perhaps, but to just suddenly die while looking around...what is fun about that? Going into that cave, I didn't know about the pvp thing.

To challange and then engage perhaps,but to just do it because you think its funny is no challange at all.

Ok that aside, pvp is what makes the game more interesting. Join a group or your party members and you can work together. I'd understand if you were trying to mine for resources and you were picked on so much you couldn't get any at all but 1 death is hardly worth crying about. It's the risk of exploration!

For the most part I agree but even the devs agree in pvp lightning is too powerful. It's not just warriors that die easily at the hands of mages. Archers usually get 1hit KO'd and they can't do more than 1HP damage against warriors which is pretty pathetic since warrior class is free and archers actually pay a lot. Archers (even/especially archer-mages) suffer the most in pvp.

the new pvp is fun and makes you "play" the game....there is no loss in xp or gp....so its free to die... imo lightning is not too powerful... problem is a lack of power for Archers and warriors...(i play a warrior)

I don't use bots, I play a stright game..exploring..fighting..It helps me relax..At my age it helps kill the time..I am 63 years old......

PvP is always a polarizing topic in online games. To understand why there are people who would love to have as much pvp as possible on one side and those who would prefer to have no pvp at all on the other side you have to know that there are 4 different types of players in every online game.

The killers
The socializers
The explorers
The achievers

The killers like to compete with others and thus want to have as much PvP as possible.
On the other side of the fence are the socializers and explorers. Both groups hate PvP areas for different reasons. The socializers because it creates drama and the explorers because it keeps them from exploring.
The achievers attitude towards pvp content depends on what they can achieve through pvp. Fighting other players just for the sake of fighting usually doesn't interest them. Being hampered in their progress by other players is a big annoyance to them. But when there is something to be gained directly through fighting players they will happily participate.

Strangely I personally knew an achiever who used to behave in that way ... but he rarely archieved ...
