Guild member limit

As players know guilds supported by current server. Support in main line client can be added in near feature. Manaplus already support guilds.
Existent guild bugs will be fixed after server binaries update.
But some devs want set very strict limit to guild members number. I hear 20 members limit.
For my opinion 100 is good.
What you think about guilds size?
PS: current limit until server not updated is 16 members.

First of all: what advantages do i (as player) have?
I dont think there is exp-sharing, because it is in parties already.
So IMHO just a talk option for more players. So why not 100? or 96 or 128? or 64 or 42!!
I vote for 42! because every other number does not have such good reasons as 42.

You can move "clans" to guilds. And use positions (ranks) and guild chat for all members. But low member limit killing this idea and guild will be useless if compare it to party.

I wonder on what you thought, crc got 96 members and hmc get 250, 20 is IMPOSSIBLE, creat a party will be the same thing as the guild!!
100 is the minimum to put

agreed, the guild isnt a party, we can't create hundreds of guilds for a clan

Not sure who said to put it at 20 but I highly doubt that represents any portions of developers.

same 50 will be short.... The shorter is 75, its the more normal for a mmorpg... Imo

I personally would like to support unlimited... but eA is likely not coded to handle that. Also if eA is handles guilds like I think it handles them the large the maximum the slow it will run.
So I would say a limit of 256 would be ideal, at least 120 if 256 is infeasible

My patch for increasing limit to 100 members now in git.
And it work fine for me on test server (tested with 22 guild members). But one dev, dont like high members limit.
Main reason why not like, because it set useless guild limit what depend on one of guild skill.
For getting guild skill need guild level. for guild level need guild exp. But now impossible get guild experience.
limit some thing like: maxMembers = defaultMembers + 2*skillLevel
after increasing limit this skill level will be useless. But it now useless even without big member limit.

Guild Skills? Guild Levels? eA supports this? if it does I think we should consider removing it.
Guilds IMO should be more a grouping, that doesn't necessarily directly enhance a player's abilities. But more like a alliance between players where they share resources, and act as one.

agreed. parties are for player advancement, imo
