About new forest armor.

Anyone else feels there's something wrong when a new (forest) armor that you can get in few hours gives you +3 dex and an older one (terranite chest) that you can only get in a week, luckily, and spending lots of money and items, gets you +1 dex?
Thanks in advance

Alons , there is a difference Teranite Chest is better +30 defense

Terranite gives only +20%, which does not give much more advantage. Any thoughts on it?

I do agree with you AlOnS. However IMO, I think devs did put it on purpose because it is a quite pretty armor and it can be obtainable by newbies. Something like: obtaining 50-100 bandit hoods instead of 10 would be better.
It is clear that this quest is easy (it took me 15miin maximum).

I also agree, after the huge effort to get terranite armor, the +1 dex bonus was acceptable because with it you could do amazing damage as an archer. With a better dex bonus on a much easier to obtain armor, there's not much incentive for players to get it at all.
Could the +3 dex bonus maybe be swapped with a +3 luck bonus instead? Seems to me that not only is that the only stat that could be boosted by an obtainable item at low levels (aside from Cat Ears, but we already have 2 items that boost agility), but also a stat that isn't as easy to abuse as say, dexterity or intelligence, since a newer player could simply put all points in either stat, and at 100 they will do some very high damage.
Plus, the clover equips to a different layer than forest armor, so it wouldn't be totally useless, and luck is rather useful to archers anyways.

Maybe because archers need more love then warriors do?

heh, agreed there Kage xD.
Of course, the only reason we haven't heard old "warrior only" players complaining about the unfair boost is that it takes a high lvl to obtain the t-gear, so not many have it yet. This easy to get armor with that bonus might be a different case.
Then again, you can always solve that by releasing the set with the Int bonus, shifting the hate back to the mages

.

Keep in mind that in practice there is no difference between +1 dex and +3dex, in fact what is important is to reach 100 dex, the value at which you get the bonus. The forest armor only adds 2 attacks (bow damage) compared to terranite armor, which is negligible.

of course, with a +3, you only have to go to 97 dex to get 100, leaving you with an extra 22 points vs the teranite armor. those 22 points can be used to beef up the character in other ways, resulting in some serious pwnage. i'm not saying that archers don't need some love - they do! - but this seems like a bad application of a +3 stat bonus.

Hate to be extra nooblike, but what were the last few updates? Whats new in Nivalis? Where is this new forest armor quest? And will anybody lend me a warlord plate since Taylord hasn't seen the need to give me mine back?

Nivalis: go to it by talking to Dyrin who is located at the south entrance of Hurnscald (1000GP). Then go to the left of Nivalis to go to christmas. Once you reached northeast cave, you enter and talk to the NPC (sparkling colors).
