I also would applaud making more dyeable versions of this hat. I second argul's request for brown and black. We are considering implementation already and held a community discussion, players and developers, on the hat early today in Hurnscald. I'm fast tracking this current hat into the game. I'll mark once it is added to the "cache" branch git repo.

The design is good, but you need to work your shading technique. Here is a great tutorial you should read when you haven't already: http://www.natomic.com/hosted/marks/mpat/shading.html

I did the xml by aligning the image to the fancy hat. Please make the other versions match this image sprite to be added to the git repo.

Also the "down" frame of the hat seems like it is a little taller than the other frames. Though I've added to the repo and it will get into the game, fixing this small issue would help.

I did the Brown Bowler Hat icon once more to have exactly the same color on the sprite sheet.

Will all the cache repository of TMW will be merged to mainline? If yes, when?

The image dyeing system is not restricted to the colors we use for shirts, robes and the other items. You could also use it to create bowler hats with a dark blue, dark brown, dark red or dark green shade.

What exactly do you mean with "cache repository"? When you are referring to the test git repository: it's purpose is quality control. Good things will be merged, bad things won't.

@Reid - The band on the Bowler Hat is dyable. This is why we made 3 different hats only still with a colorable headband.

@Crush - Yeah, understood now... thank you.

@everyone - Adding a brown dye will be a huge work:
- add brown for all the dyable items
- add the dye
-

Ali-G, I think you don't really understand how the image dyeing system actually works.

The red cotton shirt, blue cotton shirt, yellow cotton short etc. are all different items for the server. It is just the client side which assigns the same graphics to them using different recolorisations.

There are a lot of items which use the image dyeing system without being involved in the scripted clothes dyeing system at all, like the flowers, some potion bottles, the golden platemail and many others.

Just as information, maybe crush didn't said it, you can put 2 dyable color in a item, so no need to do the sprite 3 time ;)
