The problem is that we have 3 towns but only hurnscald is used, maybe with a storage and bank in nivalis people will use it, and as the poll says we want it:

We should start using the towns that we have now, then we will see if another one is really needed.

People always gather in the town closest to their level area. When the best high level level area was the desert mine, all players gathered in Tulimshar.
Regarding creation of a new town: Would you like to organize the development of one? When you do, you should consult wombat.

Mapping is the easiest things, you should try

There is actually more to do for a good content update.
1. Planning and Concept. When you don't plan, you will produce junk, no matter how good you are in the other areas. When you just start mapping on a whim, the result will be chaotic and won't fit into the game world. Think about what you want to do, draw schematics, think about the background stories and how to fit it into the existing game world.
2. Create some new tiles. When we just reuse the same graphics over and over again without ever showing anything new, the end result will be pretty boring. Don't be afraid to request new graphics. People will help you, when they believe that you are serious. Being serious means showing you have a plan (see 1). Also don't be afraid to ask artists directly. You can also do more with less work by modifying existing graphics.
3. Create new monsters. Without anything new gameplay-wise you won't impress the players either. Keep in mind that it is possible to recolor existing monsters without even using a graphic program. When you want new graphics - the same things which apply to 2 also apply here. Show leadership skills and ask nicely, and the artists will help you.
4. Mapping. Easy to learn, hard to master. Remember to test your maps properly!
5. NPC scripting. Time to finally use the background concepts you made in phase 1. Make sure to get your scripts peer-reviewed by experienced scripters. You don't want to code an exploit which allows people to dupe items, don't you?

Hello
my opinion
1. +1
2. +1 caves are boring they are the same everywhere (except nivallis) but style same types of caves
thanks for efforts on connecting them together and make the way more fun (ej the bandit part full of corner and connections and content)
3. +1
4. +1 but i don't know how to test them
5. +1
good post Crush

Yes he was right, i only know few people who were now and 4 years before and i know that there werent ships, werent banks, wasnt hurnscald mine, no magic, and no old tulishmar , just the plaza-like thingy place.
And i have an explanation:
You wonder why people always gather in hurnscald? Its not that they gathered there without reason, the main things are in there, A better mine north of it, banks, monsters outside for all levels, and the mostly main quests.
If you want people to gather in nivalis then developers must do their work and make something more interesing than some snow and slimes that can make emotes.
Whatever happens, stay calm, stay flubby
