It would be nice if we had something like this.

By checking each of the boxes it would be adding a command to a line that clicking the run button would execute.

weather you just want to skip updates or use a specific directory for your updates. Of course some options will only be available if you skip updates. Like using a separate data directory.

Looks like a nice practice task for a newbie programmer who wants to try gui programming.

Or you could just make a .desktop file or a shortcut, depending on your OS.

Well if it is possible, it would be useful to add support for different server data locations as well.
So there would be two inputs and check boxes: one for client data and one for server data.
