For people who keep questioning the rules. Just keep in mind that the rules fall under what ever the gm's discretion is. For the one individual that said phishing is not in the rules. Your a moron its next to illegal, of course its against the rules. Does attempted fraud ring a bell?

I agree scamming is not against the rules but plenty can still be done about it.
The seasoned players can put the scammers names out the masses, so others can know of there scams and again the season players can cut all dealings with these scammers. Hopefully we can ostracize them from the game!

It's long overdue to create a rule against phishing passwords. Like "Do not try to obtain the passwords of other players".

i totally agree, but it seems now there is a rule that the players are not told or posted.

Come on, you are nitpicking.

It should be common sense that phishing is not tolerated. It even breaks the law in some countries to phish passwords, no matter for what system.

I do not defend this person. i ask what rule that is posted, so he will know the risk and that it isn't allowed. TWM is not the real world.

“Common sense is not so common.”

If phishing is illegal in rl should or should not be illegal in game?
As i said before scam can be part of a role playing but phishing is not.
We cant make 100 hundred rules some of those things are common sense, this is one of those, yep Prsm had the first ban of phishing but we were ahead of this, we already have the chat, the consensus and the punishment for this kind of behavior a while ago. And the decision we all agree was 1 month ban.

Is it where he lives? if he broke a law,why is it only a month ban? You would allow a criminal back into this game? We do many things here that break RL rules in this game.

So "we" changed the rules a month ago. Didn't tell anyone and waited to catch someone who had no idea he was braking a rule you changed. Sounds fair to me.

First of all it doesnt matter where he lives, when you go into another country you have to follow their rules or you WILL be punished. doesnt matter where your from in the world. And yes criminals are allowed back into the game because "criminals" are also allowed back in the real world depending on what they have done.

The law changes all the time, and its a common sense thing you shouldnt do. unless you have no conscience. its not like he was banned for a long time for doing it, he was banned a month which isnt much of a punishment. so let the Gm's do their job and stop complaining.

When a crime happens "on the internet" it is only relevant where the culprit was physically located while committing the crime. The location of the victim or the used platform is irrelevant.

Still, upholding the local laws of the countries where the users are located isn't the job of the game masters. The job of the game masters is ensuring a pleasant game environment.

This is a ridiculous conversation. It has been determined that phishing for accounts is an infraction that should be kept outside of game-play. Hence an automatic 30 day ban when witnessed by a GM.

Calling each other 'moron' etc is counterproductive.

Phishing falls to "don't abuse other users". As well as Platinum's terms of service.
Not to mention Salah is to be hunted because I banned her/him from using Platinums services at all.
Next time when there is an argument in rules interpretation notify me, as I set the rules, and I am here to solve such things.

Regards.
