Trade window will show the exact amount asked by the seller
ej i sold 400 k
i saw 400k in trade window
then
i clicked "accept trade"

then looking at my general tab i saw i received only 40 k

now same for lvlezero

he trades 6 tears for 120 k and received 12

same strategy used each time :

coming back the scammer says he had a deconnexion and tries another scam...

this is scam this is not cllicking too fast on accept trade...

and always the same person or member of the group that is scamming begging, spamming all other tmw...

Sincerly hoping something will be done for once on serv side to perm ban this those guy(s)

This is just lack of attention, I'm sure that user will be more careful next time.

However, even to sell 6 tears for 120k is a kind of scam.

sometimes people change the amount they put in after you accept, the other person cannot propose trade until you do. its your responsibility to check at all times the same amount of gp is in the change section.

Scamming is not against the rules and is a part of role play.

Seriously, I think your right in a point: tmw's role play is falling down and there is just Scammer and hacker, troll, spammer and noobs in game (spammer-noob and other combo, as well) people are turning on into EXP-capitalism, that's why there a lots of archer, who wear the maximum of items that do dex and agi bonus (cat ears, forest armor, terranite legs, leather gloves, and furs boots sometimes use potion too), and Item-capitalism, even if it's your item they say it's their. it's just pissed off. About hacker, they are very strange, one time they get my account and change my password, I don't know how they was able to get it O_o. and another time, someone has hacked me and he has just stolen my iron ore (42-40), my iron ores were next to some rares but, strangely, the hacker didn't steal it, he was maybe an hacker-noob.
Scamming, kill, stealing, and other "Bad" thing, is a proof that the situation in real life, people kill scam steal, burn your car, and these dangerous people can be in this game too.

Games are just the representation of our society, our "real" world.

That's something completely different, because phishing passwords is something which happens outside of the gameplay (and happens to be illegal in some countries).

2 he enters the money and click change so you see it (theorically this amount cannot be changed!)
3 you click porpose trade
4 the player buying has to clic 2 times
5 you see appearing the accept option

you still reed on top right the 400k

then you clic accept

and

you discover you got 40 k

i am no noob and know how to trade
their is a bug in client ?
this is a scam in modifying client, so you can change the amount of money on last accept trade ?

don't tell me i don't pay attention on trade please show a minimum o respect and don't start trolling on this

it is your technicall responsability imho

when you trade you first press accept trade, then propose trade.
before the other person presses accept trade they can change the amount of money they hit change with. Just make sure when you propose the trade the same amount of money is in there.

If you press propose with the same amount it might be a bug yes.

That sounds strange. Lets assume that there is indeed a bug which allows one to change the amount of money without the other person noticing, then why should the one who exploits this bug just reduce the amount to one tenth and not to 0?

Anyway, when there really is an exploit we need a detailed step-by-step instruction from the point of view of the exploiter to fix it. Please find out how exactly this exploit works. Otherwise there is nothing we programmers can do about it.

You can see the change in the trade window. That is they don't change to 0, because, when you keep a part of the original amount, it is harder for the other person to see the difference.

I tested this between two of my characters and am unable to "trick the other client" with the GP amount. Tricking the human is of course still possible. I may have found a point of confusion.

1 you enter your item
2 he enters the money and clicks change so you see it (this amount can be changed any time before he clicks "Propose Trade")
3 you click propose trade
4 you see appearing the accept option (At this point, he can no longer change the GP amount)
5 you look again at the GP he's offering you, because he might have changed it

then you click accept

P.S. Jumpy, your English is fine. I'm not qualified to pass judgement on the 5 other languages you speak.

what client have you been using to testing Frost?

thanks for advices but i can assure you i alwayyyyysssss check the gp even pointing the gp on screen with a pen to count the 0 and this before accepting.

thanks also Crush we know who the scammer is so why not ask him directly ?

his strategy is do the trade
scam a first tome so
and just affter the trade he deseappers as if disconnected

then come back in game immediately saying he is sorry and tryes to make a second scam

this second scam part is of course not against the rules as it is considered as role play and in those game it is assumed to be part of the game.

i have a question: why do i have to accept each trade two times????
plz devs cange it.... let me look at the money and let me accept the trade just one time... and not two times...

or let the Buyer and the Seller type in the money... and dont let them accept the trade as
long at it isnt the same money...

i have seen that many players scammed just cuz someone changed the amount of money... isnt it realy that hard to find an answer?
