They can attack but there is not damage done.

PvP was turned on one day and it was total slaughter. 
So it was turned off again, but not removed.

Have you considered having it turned on one day a week? That way if people want to PvP they can without worrying about it the rest of the time when they are training.

A return of the infamous murder day..? 
That'd be a bit too harsh on the newbies, perhaps once every 2 weeks or so?
Or then we can just wait until we have some proper pvp content.

Perhaps the developers could add a system that would restrict which players other players may attack? For example, a lvl 30 character would not be able to attack a lvl 20 character (or vice versa), but could attack a lvl 25 character.
