the cvs version is outdated, anyway. we are using svn now:

SVN is nicer then CVS in my opinion. More and more projects are using SVN now.

i tried SVN last weekend and i dont like it...

I'm using the latest version of TortoiseSVN and its quite buggy
- cannot save any options
- checkout fails if target dir already exists
- cannot merge files easily  ???

maybe there is a better checkout tool?

i use the subversion repository with smartSVN and i like it more than CVS with TortoiseCVS.

what i like most at svn is the posibility to create branches to try out new things without affecting the main version.

I'm using TortoiseSVN and I find it nicer than TortoiseCVS except when dealing with branches created in weird ways :P
