can anyone tell me why Magica wearing Assassin boots? its unreleased...

cause when platyna took the golden warlord plate and crown away from me and sugar she didnt care to take away other peoples unreleased items. In my opinion uniques should be in the game and platyna should just give back the items she took. People had them for years before she taken them and she just logs on one day and takes them which is disrespectful of her.
She barely logs on and i never see her with the golden plate for example.

Yes, I can answer that for you Knight... as I have told several players since I started playing again a week or so ago: Platyna awarded me the boots during an event (long ago), and if she or some other person running the game wants to take them back thats their call. This "unreleased" item drama was news to me.

My 2 cents:
It would be _fair_ in one sense to apply this new rule if it actually is one to either all players or no players and offer any players with items taken away a "legal" item replacement. I'm guessing many players would be rather upset/angry/saddened by that and see it as making the game less _fun_. Personally I'd be OK with a replacement, but I can understand how upsetting it would be to some to lose items they've grown very attached to or worked very hard for.

From what I hear the "unreleased" aspect of the item is where it seems the line has been drawn in the sand. As implemented it sounds like either enforcement has been uneven, or it is only particular unreleased items that have been targeted for reasons particular to each item or situation. Maybe both.

Its best when games are fair and fun. This situation with all the "unreleased" items seems like a bit of a catch-22 to me. Being fair is sometimes easier to justify and explain, but being fun is more important.

On a side note, the boots don't to give the +5 agility or change anything other than add 5 defense on the stats window for me, but at least they look good.

I think the sore points of this situation are that 1 - Several unique items had been left in the game, for years, before Platyna decided they should not be allowed in the game. 2 - She did not apparently make any effort to retrieve the others, though to be fair it's probably a tedious process. This probably/definitely seems spiteful for the players who had their uniques taken away. I understand how it sucks - I think unique items and things like that have a place in every game, and taking a couple out on the spur of the moment after that long was not a great idea in my opinion, but what's done is done. As is there are probably a couple of obscure unreleased items hidden on alts through the game, and only players who wore theirs in the open had them removed, so implementing this "rule" hasn't happened on a wide scale yet.

Either way, can we not get hostile over such a silly topic? Even Magica's being cool and logical about this, so it shouldn't be too hard for everyone else

When I sport someone having unreleased items, I do remove them. Also players weren't supposed to be able to wear unreleased items.

However, I was always for releasing items asap after they are made, but there were some developers that disagreed.

Yes, I would like it back - I handed some of those items before even Wiki items page was made, so we didn't knew what is or what was available for players.

Think about some other item and contact me, I will trade it for those assassin boots.
