For few days, I am completely unable to play. The only thing I can do is sitting in the town in "IRC with hats" mode.
I experience not only lags, but constant broken connections.
I know some people experience it more, and some less, but it is still a problem. I hate when devs are talking about "skill" when operating archer or mage, when occasional lag sends you back to town every 5 minutes. Besides, people with GM level are treated differently by the server. And I doubt they use official client with no archer attack range or magic shortcuts.

BTW, if every time I lost my teleportation money due to lag death I would get a refund, I would be richer than Mr Who.

Lag is an equal-opportunity annoyer and has shown no respect for Dev hats or GM hats so far.
I hear it doesn't even care if a GM threatens to ban it.

I too have been getting a lot of lag recently. When my archer or speed mage can't survive, I change to a warrior character or tanked mage. I've seen other people do the same.

Manaplus has an option to show range in colored tiles, if that's what you mean. It doesn't help a bit with lag, though.

Oh, one more thing.
I noticed only some people experience lags,
and I notice when lags occurs, there is often a netsplit on Platinium IRC.
