So I just switched to manaplus and love it so far except for one thing:

I'm an archer and whenever there is an object between me and an enemy, my character automatically moves to get a clear shot. Problem is, this usually results in my character moving towards the enemy. This means I'm getting hit for damage a lot. It's a really annoying thing to happen. I really don't want my character to move on their own during battle. I've positioned them in the spot that they are in for a reason...

I've tried changing the options on the "yellow bar" to see if I can turn this "feature" off. So far, nothing is happening. I want it to be the way it was when I used the old client - when I am out of range or blocked by an object, my character doesn't shoot an arrow, and more importantly, doesn't move!

Please, please, please, can someone help me? This is driving me nuts and I don't want to switch back to the old client. Manaplus is cool, I just want it to work for me!

bison i think you go to set up and go to the Misc tab and scroll down to the auto position and uncheck it... and press apply and there is your problem fixed

Yes need open misc tab in settings, search group "moving" and uncheck autofix position.
Or other way need select move to target archer mode.it's 3 symbol on yellow bar and can be switched by default key "."

I was thinking it was a yellow bar option, but obviously not. That makes life much more liveable.

I did that and it did not work. It`s still moving me towards the enemy.

Check again possible you changed some option.
Need "archer move to target" mode or disabled option "autofix position"
