I logged in as my alt I decided to exp without main's help. I had my noob suit on, and Bowler Hat I made during the last annual quest.
I was surprised when just when I logged in, I received a private message. Uff, I wasn't deconspired, someone just wanted to buy my Bowler Hat!
Well, some money could be used for sure. The buyer showed respect for my potential newbish inability to whisper and asked me to go out of the center of town. Then, he asked for my price. The quest is fresh, so despite the average price being 230K, I asked for 200k. He proposed much better trade! He proposed me a helmet. I was scared it will be terranite helmet, as I already have it. Well, it was much better than that.

Then I cancelled a trade and laughed cheerfully. I told him I will show his generosity on forums, especially the generosity to the people who are beginning their adventure in The Mana World and showing them how awesome our community is :3
He must had be very humble, because he disappeared from game when I said it...

Recognizing a Scam is an important lesson for players (as they will persist in games as in life). The best way to get a fair deal is to educate yourself in the prices of objects and never trust someone else to have your best interest at heart.

Tips:
*Double check the amount they are trading (example make sure its 200k not 20k)
*Don't let them try something on
*Don't play games of trust even if you see someone else win (they are in on it)
*Don't enter your password and name on a webpage
*Use a different name and pass on different servers

Thank you Derpella for sharing this story with us, ali keeps bothering some of my friends since a very long time (sending trade requests and offering crappy items for valuable ones) and unfortunatelly not all of them are experienced players, so maybe a few examples like your one will help them to avoid making stupid mistakes in future
