I'm posting this from my brother's computer. I'm going to get everything up and running somehow or another, either by resurrecting an older machine or simply getting the new back on its feet. Regardless of the choice I make today, I won't start to receive parts until at LEAST tomorrow. (The fried computer is a funky BTX form, which I don't plan on replacing; so, new case and probably power supply..) More likely a couplefew days. I will try to continue working on the story, which was luckily saved remotely only days before the computer became unusable.

I should note that I don't have any other SATA capable computers in the house, so any information that hadn't been put online would've been locked in that stupid new fangled HD..! So thanks for the kick in the rear getting it online, Rotonen..

I'll be back in a few days.

So it turned out to be a fizzled stick of ram.. of course, I replaced just about everything else before I realized this. Sorry it took me so long to get my act together.
