Moderator edit: this thread is from when the automatic account creation script was broken.

I unbroke the script, so this thread is not necessary until it breaks again.

If you live in the future and are having problems logging into the game:

• Try again.
• Check that "server status" says "online" on the front page.
• Try again.
• Make sure you haven't mispled your username or password.
• Try again.
• Post a new thread in this forum. If there's actually something wrong we'll probably merge it and unlock this thread again.

I created a new account to try this out, and it says invalid password when I try to log in, but I know I am using the correct password, and there are no typos.

The username is the same as my forum username

I'm sorry to hear you had a problem.

I just changed your password (I cannot read it, but I can change it) and sent it in email to the address you gave when you registered.

My daughter and I have just started playing together. When she tries to log in, she gets the message "Error. Unregistered ID", but trying to create the user again on the registration page tells us that the userid is already in use. Her userid is "Krissysally". Could you please check it and let us know, either here or by email?

Did you get the confirmation email before you tried to log on? sometimes it wont work unless you get that first. I've personally had that done to me as well and when i got the confirmation email it was ok. If you already got the email and its still not working I suggest an admin look into this.

I am having the same issue. I registered and confirmed the e-mail. It says "unregistered id" Maybe i need to wait?

Obviously Krissysally and BellaPanthion are not registered in game.
Did you register here on the forum? Game registration is a different process:
For game, application must be made on the page:
http://themanaworld.org/registration.php
A confirmation mail will be sent to you; when you get this mail (It is usually quite fast) you're done.

It looks like the web registration process has a problem.
We're working to fix it, but meanwhile I created the accounts for Krissysally and BellaPanthion.

That sounds like a great idea! I don't know how easy it would be, but we'll discuss it at least.

Getting *any* kind of SQL (ahem, PostgreSQL) support in the game server is long-term, let alone an API as nasty as MySQL.

Because alot of people make new accounts for alt characters to use. it would be a waste if there was a forum account for every alt account. but nice idea!

I registered for an account yesterday, yet never received the confirmation email. I checked my junk and deleted folders yet the email wasn't there. I tried to register again yet it said "username in use". Yet I was able to register for the forum.
