Why there is no rule against cursing or swearing?

Because if you don't want to hear someone swear, you can simply use the /ignore command of the client. Swearing and insulting gets punished only if abusive or if it gets to things such as family, religion or other racist things.

Why should there be a rule against it?

Before someone suggests it: A word filter with a blacklist isn't a solution, because that sh!t is F_U_C_K_I_N_G easy to circumvent. Especially when you want to ***ure you don't get any false positives.

Maybe this game should have a warning on the page somewhere saying tmw is not responsible for people swearing(so people know before they let their kids play). Or an Age requirement (14+ for example). Just a suggestion.

Occasional swearing is going to be tolerated.
If it is continuous, then ask them to stop; if they refuse, they are likely (in my experience) to break the "abuse" rule by swearing *at* you.

I have found that swearing is a slippery slope, most that do and are asked to quit do so if you mention kids play the game also. Those that continue
normally slip up and use the curse word as an adjective in an insult, and we all know what happens in the game if you insult someone!

Proper usage is one thing. However using such language unnecessary is rather low brow even for this crowd. (Me included. >.> )
Freedom of speech is one thing. Abuse of it is another.
