chef chelios, georgia, skye, and their cheating friends. This game use to be fun, but it is not the most horrible I have played. all kinds of bots are being used and not secure. wont be back ever.

It's my understanding that drops are protected for a few seconds after they drop...

If we start from the fact that you're right, The Mana World is big enough for you to find a place where Chef Chelios is not present and using his magic... ^^

Which means its *yours* for at least 20 seconds before other people can even pick it up.

I am sure that Zoey says that because she doesn't know that:

• There is a drop protection: character which does the most important damage has priority to get the drop during a certain time (I forgot how much, but at least 10 s, then the char which does the second most damage... when protection is over anyone can get the drop.
• There is an experience and job bonus when several chars attack the same target. When a strong player attacks a the same target as a weaker one, the weaker one can get a big advantage regarding experience and job points she or he gets. And this is still true if the lower level player does not get the drops . Usually nice players (and chef is one) take care of lower players who are grinding or who use the upper mentioned feature to level faster. Some interference may happen though. Some other players find funny take any occasion to get easy experience in systematically attack the same targets as lower ones who are levelling making their experience growthrate fall down
  these are the "target stealers"
