Forum rules
1. Each member of the community can make a topic (poll) suggesting another person for a GM. You can't make a poll for yourself.
2. One topic per person, any duplicates will be removed and votes will be lost.
3. Each poll has to be done according to the schema (yes has to be first option and no the second):
"Do you agree for person X to become a GM?"
"Yes."
"No."
You are supposed to allow only one option per user and allow revoting.
You are supposed to pick "run for 0 days".
4. A person suggested has to collect at least 45 votes (or more) for yes, with minimum 75% for yes and maximum 25% for no (3:1 ratio).
5. A person suggested may request closing of the topic.
6. Only posts containing valid pros and cons are allowed in the threads, discussions however are not allowed. For discussions about particular case use Player Talk forums.
7. If a person collects the required votes, assuming there are free positions and no objections are raised, they'll be granted "Junior GM" rights for a certain period.
8. After training and approval from the senior GMs, the team will formally grant full GM rights and team membership.
9. If many persons will gain required voices, voice count will matter.
10. The amount of GMs to pick in certain time line will be determined by the TMW Team (Admins, GMs and developers).
11. Persons rejected due lack of free positions will be put on hold till any position becomes available (according to vote count).
12. If more than a year passes, a new poll must be open to ensure the community is still fine with the nomination.
13. Usual GM choosing criteria and guidelines still apply, persons not meeting those criteria will be rejected and will have their thread closed.
14. Sockpuppeting will be detected and all accounts, including the master's one will be banned forever without warning. There is one vote per person, and a person means a human being not a forum account.
15. If this forum will turn into a flame war cave, people posting here will act unreasonably and will break the rules on massive scale, forum will be closed down. So use it wisely.
16. If you don't know a person suggested, it is better to find out who is s/he and what they do before voting, do not vote "no" just because you don't know someone.
17. State EXACT player name that clearly identify a person (in game or on forums - precise which one it is).
18. After a candidate receives required amount of votes, the poll is closed, a candidate reviewed by the TMW Committee and asked (or not - in case of valid objections) to become a GM.
19. You need to have at least 10 posts to participate in the polls.

Re: tux9th
Why I voted yes:
- I like his attitude to the game, he want to help and he is good at it. He seems a nice person and I never saw him being rude to others just the opposite. If he get elected and choose to contribute he can do it even as a GM, MrGrey is also learning and contributing and he is a GM, he cannot be a developer while he is a GM but he can contribute as much as he want to. So that is not an objection in his case, tux WAS a dev. he is not one right now so there is not problem on that.
- We need an European or Asian GM to cover a different time zone and he happens to fill that. We are 3 active GM in game right now and we are all in about the same time zones.
- He speak German and English so another bilingual GM is also a great addition. (If only we find a Portuguese/Brazilian GM I would be even more happy)
Good luck tux

Re: tux9th
Moved the discussion about whether or not people should be both GM and developer to a new thread in player talk.
The reasons aren't applicable to ex-developers anyway. But when it comes to ex-developers, you have to keep in mind that the trust relationship between developers and game masters is just as important as the trust relationship between players and game masters. When a developer left the team because they couldn't get along with the rest of the team (or was kicked out), the trust relationship is damaged. Such a person should not become a game master. But when a developer left the dev team on friendly terms, there is no reason why that person should not be a GM.
I do not know any details about how and why tux9th left the development team.

You might have heard a certain rumor about me. This rumor is completely false. You might also have heard the other rumor about me. This rumor is 100% accurate.

There are a lot off players around that timezone.
I see past years more (new) players from european country's.

Re: tux9th
What more can I say? All good characteristics which have been mentioned I agree with whole heartedly. I have not personally witnessed any impatient or inappropriate behavior at all. tux9th holds the skills and knowledge to be a GM already and cares about new players and the support of activity in all areas including Tulm. Voted Yes ^^
Re: tux9th
I voted yes, but it appears other players beat me to the punch for reasons why. I have been saying for awhile to some friends ingame that it is ideal to have more GMs that can cover more timezones. It would be best to have a GM on at all times. There are a considerable amount of players in Europe, and it seems to be a growing demographic. So far tux9th has not disappointed me as a friend ingame, I have had no reason to not trust him or his abilities to take on a greater role in TMW. Good luck, tux!

Re: tux9th
Finally, I've made 20 posts in my new account name. Therefore, what I typed below stands, and my vote has been cast.
Well, I vote yes for tux9th, but I must let you know that I can't tick any box. Can someone get in contact with me and let me know that my vote has been counted? It doesn't show up for me. I'm using a linux, and don't know if it still has buttons to choose yes/no. (no longer a problem)
Also, I have a proxy vote by aelistarr, but if needed, she can be contacted in game. Also a "Thanks" to tux9th from Aelistarr too. I don't know what for, but knowing tux9th, it'd be from being helpful somewhere some time. Hence, why my vote, and Aeli's, is a yes.
It was highlighted to me that it is possible that I could add comments in the forums to up my comments to twenty, and in one sense, I'd like to do this, but isn't the reason I comment. I can't do that for JUST that reason, but if in the chance I reach 20 comments in the process, then I may re-look at this. Best of luck to you, tux9th. I comment because I like to comment, and I enjoy the perspective of others, even if they differ to me . . . well, most of the times . . . ask my sweetheart. lol

to Speiros, Max and all who have not 20 posts:
This is not an election, this is a poll. So that even if you cannot express your opinion with a +1 in any of the choice, your words have an importance, maybe the most important one.
