The interesting thing here is that he knows why he's "banned". So, I'm thinking, we should find out, too. Thanks for the tip.

He's just making up excuses to play his other game :p

It's hard to read the logs when they're broken. When I replied to the post, the part with Prsm banning him wasn't visible yet.

It was not meant ironically. Like Melkior, I looked in the gm log at http://server.themanaworld.org/gm/gm.log.2013-10 and did not see any mention of a ban.

Now that I see the reason, I'm highly skeptical that Depredador truly had no warning. He has played for years, and is regularly warned about language. This seems like just another way he pretends he has nothing to learn.

That's what happens when someone "improves performance" by trashing line buffering in favor of "better, faster" buffering, without bothering self to get idea why logs are flushed on per line basis (in virtually all server software, even if it can hurt performance in some corner cases). Sure, log writing speed has improved. But what about costs? And even "fixed" server version can still show you strange logs like:

Sure, you can guess/decode missing part from context in this case, but its pure luck. And I really fail to understand why o11c thinks its okay to treat logs like this. Logs are important data for any server software. And its really wrong to optimize for speed at cost of data integrity. Not to mention optimizations like this not anyhow affect REAL performance issues (i.e. those visible to players).

since i was on vacation I didn't get back to this post. Not only was he speaking Spanish,
but thanks to Narus I found out it was insults, thats why the 3 days.
