Text-Only Client

Post by shacknetisp »

As I stated in my previous topic, viewtopic.php?f=12&t=17998, I am working on a guild system for a TMW-based game.

It will be work like guild bot, however, since it is only a whisper service, I was wondering if there is a text-only mana client with source available?

Thanks!

The closest thing would be whisperbot, which is written in python.

I don't know if there is a canonical location for it, and I know that I have had to patch it because it seems unmaintained. But, at least it *does* exist.

I have looked at whisperbot, and as I don't work with python, using Manaplus seems best. If this guildbot I make has all the features of the current one, would you be interested in it's source?

I cannot see the interest of a new guild bot. The actual one is a bad substitute for a part of the features that were available onTMWa (and still are on evolserv). Guilds are not and, will never be only chat channels. a second chat bot can be interesting for language channels instead (which feature should be included in server too).
