I am curious to know what will happen with the Hitchhiker Quest now that we get the towel as a starter item... Anyone know?

It used to be able to dye the towels to have the warp towels take you to anywhere else other than a soul menhir.

Dying towels works fine.

But for me he isn't offering to die. When I talk to him he says:

Hello. Isn't this a beautiful place?
And it really comes in handy that I have my towel with me. A towel is about the most massively useful thing an inte- ahm, a person can have.
You can read more about that in my favourite book, 'The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy'.

And then no option to continue.

My post was never answered... What will happen to the Lost Hitchhiker Quest now that we get the towel as a starter item? AND, by the way... The dyeing doesn't work properly... 3 times I tried to dye a towel orange with 1 water, 1 ruby powder, and 1 topaz powder... The first time the towel was dyed green, the second time it was dyed pink, and the third time it was dyed red. What is up with that?

The quest is in game requires level 42 and account to be older than 6 weeks.
The reason you are getting a random towel is because you are going there with multiple towels.

I understand that... What I am TRYING to find out is WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THE QUEST NOW THAT WE GET TOWELS AS A STARTER ITME?!?!?!?!?!?

It's still used for being able to dye the towels.

That is it? There will be no new quest(s) from him other than still being able to dye towels?. Hmm... Okay
