Banshee "critical damage" bug

Shouldn't "Critical Damage +70" increase damage on successful critical hits by 70, rather than as currently increase the chance to critically hit per attempted attack by 70%? This is a huge difference in combat power. Either the item description is wrong, the bow's effects are wrong, or my understanding of "Critical Damage" is wrong. Any idea which it is?

I've always said that bow needs balance whether it's the item or the environment.
Goto test and use it against the Pirates on Tulimshar Beach vs. Zombies in the GY.

I'm not aware of any way to alter damage from crits, it looks like a description bug.
But then again, this is TMWA, nobody understands what the code does.
