Any ideas? It updated on my Android tablet but not on my laptop AMD Dual Core
Zorin Linux fork of Ubuntu.

This probably mean you have outdated client.

Try follow intructions from here http://manaplus.org/ubuntu/

OK had to uninstall and update repository and did the
sudo agt-get update
and
sudo apt-get install manaplus

updated and all is well in Mana World
