The Mana World Forums

I've played the mana world before and made a new account recently. Yesterday I made the account and tried to create a character, but i couldn't see the toon or get past hitting the create button. Today I can't get past the requesting characters screen.
I am using Linux 14.04.1 (trusty)
My manaplus version is 1.4.1.18.

It's probably not a hardware problem as I've played on this machine before without issues, I just linux since the last time i've played.

Somehow i got past the screen. Managed to make a character but when i hit play this happened

You created character but you ignored update error.
Your client outdated and not supported anymore by the mana world.

Use client from http://manaplus.org/ubuntu/

Mk, went to the link with client open and did instructions. It works now. Before i made this thread i tried doing that w/out client open and it didnt work. Now it seems to be running smoothly. Thank you.
