So I was wondering, does anyone know of any plans to restore the dark petal to working condition? This was one of my most fun and useful items---something very valuable in the game but useless to anyone who hadn't played through the quest. What's more, I am forbidden from celestial magic, so the petal was something of a consolation prize for me.

If it must go, I would hope that one day such items will someday become useful again, and not become mere ManaMarket baubles. Players expectantly await each quest, but the game loses a little bit when unique and wondrous items suddenly lose their connection with the ether and become just plain ol' junk. Like many others, I am very excited about the possibility of a staff of the apocalypse that showers meteors on everything within a 100-square radius, but I also worry that it will only be able to rain down hellfire for so long before it just stops working one day, kinda like most modern electronics.

Easter Island became GM Island. The Petals allowed warp to that island and death return. Everyone liked that map which is why it became the GM Island map.
