Make Forest Armor Dyeable

Currently, there are basically no decent armors that are customizeable. Mages at least are able to dye all of their robes. Pants, boots, and gloves, there's not a huge difference between the dyeable gear and the "best" gear, so that's less of an issue, but for chest armor, choosing between making your character look the way you want and actually having decent gear is a huge difference in stats. I think the Forest Armor is the perfect candidate for a decent, yet customizeable chest armor. It's kind of sad that once you get to a certain point, all of the warriors end up looking exactly the same except maybe for those who are high enough to get a Bull Helmet.

No, it can't be done now. There are only dyes for cotton cloths. For other types of dyes we need different items and procedures as explained by Rauk. Besides making forest dyable would require an awful amount of pixel work.

nah its not so hard - doing it wesnoth style would be hard but recoloring... theres the gem and arm thingy(bluish=one channel) the thing around the neck and belt(brownish= one channel) and ofc base color (tangreen i guess)
actually quite a nice excercise in learning how to make stuff dyable - all u need is the select by color and fill selection tool oh and ofc u need the colorpicker on the dye palette... give it a try :alt-3: urs sincerely chay and her alts

Not true, silk robes can be dyed by Selim in addition to cotton. Whatever the Forest Armor is made of, it's obviously cloth of some kind based on the green/brown color scheme. No reason it couldn't be dyed exactly the same way as other gear.

You don't even need to select by color, just convert the image to indexed and edit the palette. Recoloring pixel art that's already been drawn is incredibly simple.

+1 for dye-able forest armor
It kind of makes sense for the forest armor to be leather, it would give some protection from being pierced with arrows. But of course leather itself is dye-able.

What about having [Leather Gloves] and [Leather Trousers] dyeable too?
