EDIT: Issue Resolved.

I see this when I go to play:



After I select my character to enter the world. I see all the sprites but the background of the login screen remains instead of changing to the world. I tried minimizing and then maximizing the client again, Restarting the client, And rebooting my machine. Do I need a fresh install?

This might be many things. Let's try one by one until it solves the problem

1) The most frequent problem is that people skip at the update screen so it doesn't load all maps correctly. Try to wait until it's done.

2) If that is not your case, you might have a problem with OpenGL. Go to Setup > Performance > uncheck the box "Enable texture atlases (OpenGL)". Save and restart manaplus

3) Go to Setup > Video > change Modern OpenGL (or Mobile/Safe/Normal OpenGL) to Software. Save and restart manaplus

In regards to '1)': You (or at least I) cannot click play until patching has finished (the button for it is greyed out until patching completes).
In regards to '2)': This fixed it, thanks!
