As requested by Meko to continue Aramis project
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=18850 to make well for Nivalis continent, i made this one based on something like this:
Img source: (
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File: ... talice.jpg).
Not tested on actual map yet. Any advice?
Ps: I make new thread in case Aramis want to continue his own project.

Edited:
I'll place the latest works on the well here (waterwellwithroof(5)) so you can see it right away. I made the snow roof a bit more realistic, but nothing's change on the rock wall of the well. This file is free to use and edit under cc-by 4.0 license, credited to me (Arkhen).

Glad if you guys like it. I've done a bit clean up on the roof edges so it looks more realistic, i hope.

I saw it and, well, we have a little problem. Char spites will overlap the roof if stand too close from right or left sides.

Is that ok? Can you put invisible wall one block just to the right and left of the object to give some space so char sprites wouldn't overlap it? It will look like this.

Out of curiosity, how did you solve the problem?

I had to create a new tileset (snow_x4) and put the left and right sides of the roof in there

Hmm... *nods*
Meko is genius. Now the water well works like what I expect it to work. When chars sprites is near the well, it will looks like it's under the roof, like it should be in real life perspective, right?

Another request from Meko. A tile set for frozen pond in nivalis. Umm, the tiles still half baked, not quite seamless yet. And I haven't adjust the snow color. Anyway, I post this preview so anyone can give any thought before I continue to polish it this weekend. Frankly, I'm not confident with this one. I never seen the actual forzen pond before.
