Due to problems with the size of the accounts file, we had to prune accounts which have not logged in since 2013 during some emergency maintenance to stop the horrible lag crashing.

If you are returning to the server since then, send a request via the password reset viewtopic.php?f=3&t=17737 and we will work on restoring your account. No account info was lost, just put in cold storage.

We normally would have like to give time for people to log into their accounts, but circumstances we're out of our control.

Is it possible to send an email to all these players, tell them that their accounts were not purged and they can get them back.

yeah sending mail could be a good way.
