Candor is unfair for archers

Post by mas886 »

Hard to see archers who doesn't use tons of healing items and potions to heal themselves all the time...

The history of my last 3 candors:

Fallen spawn at my side, 470/718 crit hit, dead.

Jack-o spawn at my side 560/718 crit hit, dead.

Little lag, 2 crit hits >370 hp hits from a fallen, dead.

Just... Why? If I use more "luck" I haven't got vit (with a banshee is a suicide), more vit, all I get is crit hit...

The runner didn't itenplz in time, I guess. Small trick: on spawn don't move for 1-2 seconds.

CANDOR BATTLE

What To Do:

1.Go to the Tulimshar north dock and enter the Candor ferry.
2.Someone always needs to pay 20,000 GP to host Candor. If you just join, you can sit down in the cave and wait until it starts. If you are the one hosting, first invite a lot of people to come with you, enter the cave with your friends and talk to Parua.
You need to pay those 20,000 GP to start this mini-game. People outside that cave cannot join after it started.
You can pay an additional 3,000 GP to have Parua make a global announcement to invite more people. If you don't, the battle will start immediately.
Parua can make announcements 5, 10, or 15 minutes in advance - it's recommended to use this offer as most people join after seeing an announcement.

3.Kill all the monsters you can. The goal of this game is to stay alive as long as possible. This is not so easy, that's why you need as much people as possible.

4.When you will reach level 2200, all the monster will die and you will win 100 Boss Points. The map is now open to everyone again.

It is fair for all(Mages/Warriors/Archers).
The goal of this game is to stay alive as long as possible. This is not so easy

FYI, mages have to heal self a lot, too (in fact, most low-level mages do not survive candors at all). And aggressive warrior setups can be quite an issue against strong monsters either, especially true for ragers and bull helmet owners. And btw, "battle" mages can't wear armor at all because armor literally kills all spellcasting. Actually, "proper" runner mage is kinda slow at spellcasting due to points spent on HP and Luck and could only barely cast itenplz in armor. And sucks a lot in terms of being "battle" mage.

So basically choice is between safe ("tanked") but slow/unrewarding setups vs using more aggressive but harder setups. Sure, warriors are most protected ... because they have to fight tough monsters in close combat. So they can't afford bad def, so they have to sacrifice some melee speed. Yet, archers can at least wear armor and it is really up to you to decide between shooting speed & chance to hit vs hitpoints and so on. Not to mention you can learn to move properly and avoid being hit in first place, that's what most archers prefer instead of spending points on HPs and luck. And btw, banshee archers pwn all in terms of damage per second.
