Crash upon going to the Gui section of Input in Setup

As of right now, I'm using the latest version of Manaplus, and Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty. My graphics card is a Gallium 0.4 on i915 (chipset: 946GME) and my processor is an Intel Atom CPU N270 @ 1.60 GHz x 2
Every time I go to the Gui section of Input (in the setup menu), the game always crashes and gives me this error in the terminal:
I tried updating my client to the latest version and changing my theme, but I had no luck as the game still crashed for me. Any help on how to fix this would be extremely helpful.
Sorry if some of my information (or all of it) was misleading, not needed, or was all over the place. Just point out what needs to be added/removed and I'll do that ASAP.
